Hmm... My problem with Mark Driscoll is that he's very mysogynistic. That makes me turn off everything else he says. Maybe I shouldnt do that, but then again, there are plenty of other great preachers out there who match my values and he's not one of them. I'm glad his stuff has touched you, tho! Be encouraged!

hmm, yeah, I know people have very differing opinions about what he says about the role of women in the church and interpretation of Scripture in that area. i wouldn't say he's misogynistic though in that i feel he's harsh on the guys and calls men to be men and to respect and protect women in their roles as brothers, husbands and fathers...and in that i feel like a woman's gifts/talents can flourish in a unique way... i think he says a lotta things we need to hear in this generation.

Yup! I have no problem with calling the men to step into those roles. My husband would say the same thing! But, it's the limiting of women's roles and giftings that I absolutely disagree with. So, yea. In fact my whole message series at church is about gender and the whole church debate. We're already went through the Old Testament points. We're hitting the new testament passages starting at the end of next month. You can always listen to my messages on it at my blog. There's a separate tab. =)
